DEALING WITH BEDBUGS {Post Series} - POST 5

GOOD RIDDANCE TO BUG RUBBISH

By now, everyone will agree that bed bugs are very stubborn creatures to deal with.

From the previous post  ORGANOPHOSPHATES DO LITTLE, we have clearly established the fact that not all insecticides work on bed bugs. They have become so resistant to insecticides, and these insecticides are not at all good for our health.

THE SECRET TO BED BUG DEFEAT

Since these invaders are very tough enemies, they require stringent measures to eradicate.

The secret to lasting victory over bed bugs is OBSERVING CONSTANT ENVIRONMENTAL SANITATION and MAINTAINING PROPER HYGIENE.

This is not going to be an easy fight, but you have to give it your all if you must win, and it's going to take time to achieve.

#1: First, you should avoid PANIC. The reason people keep battling bed bugs for a very long time is due to panicking. Panicking leads to trying every means possible to get rid of bed bugs fast, yet achieving no results.

#2: Now, you can turn to experienced professionals in pest management. The idea behind this is for you not to handle the insecticides yourself and to reduce potential harm to the barest minimum. Pest management professionals can help you best with the handling and usage of insecticides.

#3: Do thorough examination of the house to check out for their hide-outs (crags and crevices, bed side, around the chairs or mattress, electrical switch plates, pictures on walls, luggages, etc), and makes sure to clear off their traces in these areas. Their eggs should be dusted and disposed properly.

#4: Properly dispose infested objects (properties).

#5: After doing all 4 steps, make sure you kill any bed bug(s) you see immediately on sight. Also make sure to maintain good environmental sanitation and proper home hygiene.

Bed bugs can't be eradicated so easy, they'll keep showing up from hiding once in a while, and they'll keep raising offsprings somewhere in your house, hiding.

For this reason, you have to keep repeating all five steps occasionally till you see them no more.

AND REMEMBER. . .

While you do these, don't pass your bed bugs on to others.

Be sure to PROPERLY dispose (if possible destroy) the infested object so that no one else takes it and gets bed bugs.

Also, be careful when you get second-hand home furniture or clothings (clothing accessories). Observe them well to see that you're not bringing bed bugs in by yourself.
