7 HEALTH FACTORS THAT COULD MAKE YOUR LIFE INSURANCE POLICY COST MORE

Getting a life insurance policy is good, very good. But quite a lot of people are just afraid to get it, especially in this part of the world. They think, "I'm not ready to die yet, so why should I?".

Just a little education; life insurance policy (for those who don't know) doesn't mean you're going to die soon, NO.

You probably need life insurance; if you have small children, a mortgage, a spouse or family member (aged mother, father. . .) who’s dependent on your income—or any person who would be inconvenienced financially if you were hit by a bustomorrow. Though no one prays for this.

PARACETAMOL 'NO GOOD FOR BACK PAIN'

Paracetamol is ineffective at treating back pain and osteoarthritis despite being a recommended treatment, a group of Australian researchers has warned.

Their review of 13 clinical trials, published in the British Medical Journal, said the drug did not reduce disability or improve quality of life.

Instead, the group warned, it increased the odds of liver problems.

The NHS is to review its guidelines. Experts say patients should consult a doctor before changing medicines.
Back pain is a leading cause of disability and in the UK alone it is estimated to affect 26 million people each year.

KIDNEY DISEASES; SALIENT THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW (I).

Much about the kidney has been said in the HAVE YOUR KIDNEYS BEEN HIDING FROM YOU? article.

The kidneys help to perform several life-sustaining roles: they cleanse your blood by removing waste and excess fluid, maintain the balance of salt and minerals in your blood, and help regulate blood pressure.

BUT WHY SHOULD YOU KNOW ABOUT KIDNEY DISEASES?

It is paramount that we keep emphasizing this. Why? Five Reasons:

DOGS & CHOCOLATES = NOT GOOD PALS. . .

It sounds really ridiculous to hear that a sweet treat as chocolate can lead to illness, and even to the point of death in dogs.

According to Vets, it is one of the most common causes of dog poisoning.

A chocolate chip can cause problems for a little dog, and a bag of chocolate chips can spell trouble for a big one.

SO WHAT MAKES CHOCOLATES THIS LETHAL TO DOGS???

First, it's not the chocolate itself that harms the dogs, but a natural chemical compound contained in it, known as THEOBROMINE.

'VALENTINE; THE SEASON OF STDS'. TRUE OR NOT?!

A friend once jokingly said, "valentine is the period when people contract STDs the most". But this particular statement has since seen a lot of criticism. Arguments have gone into it, and it hasn't found favour with a lot of people.

"BUT LET'S JUST FACE IT. . ."

STDs (sexually transmitted diseases) and STIs (sexually transmitted infections), like their names imply don't just jump on you, you invite them to yourself, and that, through ONE mean, SEX.

HEADING THE BALL DANGEROUS TO BRAIN

Heading a football is too dangerous for children as the force of the ball can cause brain injuries, Dr Michael Grey, a top neuroscientist has warned. And this has raised a major qestion: Should children be allowed to head the ball?

FAKE EYELASHES

Fake eyelashes cause traction alopecia‬ (loss of hair), ‪‎conjuctivitis‬(pink eye), eye_stye‬ (boil-like), allergic reaction(the glue contains a lot of chemicals), eyelid swelling, painfull eyes, erosion of the inner surface of the eyelids. LETTER TO THE GUYS. . .

Dear Guys,

Healthwise: Putting on a dirty boxer shorts for prolonged period of time is detrimental to d pubic region especially scrotum.

Boxers should be changed the way panties are; EVERYDAY!!! If possible, have a bath before wearing a new one.

CUT DOWN ON SUGAR

I know, most of us love sugar. In our teas, beverages, oats, etc. We can just afford to take them without sugar, they taste very dry. But for our good, we need to cut down our intake of sugar.

Excess sugar could cause tooth decay, unnecessary fat, liver problems, insulin resistance (this could be deadly), diabetes, growth of cancerous cells, etc.

Sugar is not totally bad, excess of it is.

READING IS HEALTHY

I know, most of us don't like to do this, but it's the truth, reading helps.

Recent research: People with poor reading skills are likely to be less healthy than those who read easily.

Reading involves brain functions like vision, language, & associative learning. It helps protect your brain from Alzheimer’s disease, slash stress levels, encourage positive thinking & puts you in good mood (depending on what you read).

"Study to show thyself approved" wink emoticon

TISSUE VS WATER

After using the toilet which do you use; tissue or water?:D

Using tissue only cleans off the obvious & leaves the more microscopically harmful bacteria behind you. It also aggravates hemorrhoids & irritates the skin. Clean water guarantees more cleanliness at least up to a 70%, & be sure to rinse well.

But, all in all, proper hand washing (with soap & water) is key after using the toilet. #Healthiquette
