Beginning from today 1st October, 2014 to 31st October, 2014, the Medicalmattaz team is embarking on its Cancer Awareness Month themed, "BUILDING A CANCER-FREE GENERATION".
Cancer, also known as malignant tumor is a group of diseases involving abnormal cell growth with the potential to invade or spread to other parts of the body. According to the WHO, cancers figure among the
leading causes of death worldwide, accounting for 8.2 million deaths in 2012.
In respect of this, we have taken it upon ourselves to enlighten and educate the general public on cancer related topics; from its origin, history, causes, types, treatments and so on.
Note this, it's either you're infected or you're affected. You may not have cancer, but it's either of these; you may know someone who has cancer, someone that has cancer cells growing in him/her against his
and your consciousness, or a relative or friend dying in silence due to cancer. This is why you as a person should also be involved in this health awareness month.
