Heading a football is too dangerous for children as the force of the
ball can cause brain injuries, Dr Michael Grey, a top neuroscientist has
warned. One study found 1,000 to 1,500 headers a year as associated
with significant brain injury in footballers, the equivalent to a few
times a day. And this has raised a major qestion: Should children be
allowed to head the ball?
